Do you do anything special to prepare for a new doll's arrival?

Personaily I write up as much of a backstory as I can for them. Clean my doll closet and make a space for them. I get atleast one peice or claim one peice for them, and clean my room. Watch box opeingings on DoA and swoon over a printed or digital picture of the doll I am getting. I draw them some and find my doll opening knife! I have a knife I have used for all 8 of my dolls so far!

What about you?

For some of my dolls, knowing how much of a wait I'm in for (such in the case of Soom dolls), I try not to think about them too much . It might make me too crazy constantly thinking about it. Doesn't always work, though. ;)

I contemplate eyes, wig and personality, even if I can't fill out a full background. Finding clothes is a must, especially if it's a new size I have no current clothes for. Sometimes I'll even sew a special outfit for them.

Then once they're actually on their way, I stalk the tracking like a crazy person. I make sure I have eyes and wigs for them to try on when they've arrived, the clothes available to wear. I charge my camera's battery and make sure my memory card is empty. And of course I make room among my dolls for the newcomer to sit. (So running out of room.)

Doing things while I wait makes me antsy. xD

I also look at pictures, even setting one to my phone and computer backgrounds.

I try not to think about it too much, since I hate waiting. So if I push it out of my mind, it doesn't go as slow. >>;
Plus it makes for a nice surprise when they actually get here. 83

I also try to write and draw them. I can't usually get personalities straight til they arrive, otherwise they completely mess my plans up. xD;

Ah yes, the stuffed animal. A very important aspect of doll preparation. Almost all of mine have their own special animal companion. Damn, I'm gonna need one for my new ones. >.<

Fo-ru has a whale and thats about the only one Ive done that for....excpect Piper-Ann tries to cla Maumau my little stuffed tiger and rides on him.

I've got so many stuffed animals, that I generally just assign one to the doll. xD
My resin usually end up sharing them all in the long run, so it doesn't matter too much here. >>

that's exactly what I do I have a picture of crispin on my phone and a picture of hellion as my computer background.

I also watch ALOT of bjd videos on youtube, whether it be box openings or customization tutorials

I'm not very patient

I've been watching BJD videos on youtube recently, as well.
It's lots of fun, especially watching some of the tutorials the girl who face-uped my Kirill did.

I think the majority of us are impatient, especially when it comes to our dolls.
