Hello~

My name is Illihanna, I am from Colorado, U.S.A and I'm new lol. I have been on DOA forums for a long time before joining here. I decided to join up because I have bought my first doll and wanted to join a nice bjd community that would not make me feel tense 88% of the time.

A little bit about myself- I am in my mid-twenties, I am currently in college and I work full-time. I like Gothic lolita fashion and I am also into beauty products.

I hope to chat with all of you soon!

I started off really bad when I got my first doll. It just something that you'll get better at with practice. And if you want advise, the people here would love to help give tips for better pictures. Wink

If you want examples, I can show you some of my first pictures, and some recent ones. xD I'm sure the early photos I took would make what ever you take look amazing. Laugh

Sure thing~ I just hope that your eyes don't bleed. xD;

These are some of my first pictures of my first doll:
Completely blurry, Can't even see anything, Really grainy, and Still grainy

Now, here are some recent better photos:
Bory girl, Bory again, Breakaway , and Glati before he was painted

So, as you can see, I've improved quite a bit. xD
It's all just practice and learning how to capture things you like with your camera. There are some pictures I've taken a really long time ago that I still like now. (example) So don't be discouraged, since we all started off that way. Blush

I think many of us have gotten better with our photography after being in this hobby for some time. I know I'm the same way. Granted, it does help that I've upgraded cameras over the years, but new and spiffy cameras do diddily if you haven't practiced and learned what works. Give it time, work on it, and you too can have pretty pictures! Regular

I wasn't even into photography before this hobby. Laugh But I've taken four classes on photography now at my high school, and I love it.
It's just one more good thing my dolls have brought me. Blush

@EilonwyG- I have a digital camera which shoots pretty clear shots and has motion stability on it, so hopefully that will help in my picture quality lol. tho, I normally like taking picture in general because of my GL style but they were never DA post worthy or anything, but I get what you guys are saying and I am really looking forward to experimenting a lot with my boy what he arrives.tongue

@RainbowCheckers- How cool! I wish my highschool had photography when I was going, we only had drawing lol.

We have a whole bunch of art classes at mine.
Like drawing, fiber arts, photography, digital image design, sculpture, and calligraphy to name a few. It's kept me busy over the past four years. Laugh

No way!! Man...I would have killed to have those classes you get now lol. To be honest? I think after I graduated, that's when my highschool opened a crap ton of new classes...I remember being pretty PO'ed when a cousin of a friend told be about the same highschool I left two years ago.
