I usually let them sit out at night, even though I have very thick black curtians for the day, and let them chill out but I dont have the out much during the day. I dare not sleep with mine due to worry of pushing it off the bef like a stuff animal or my cellphone. Laugh

Now I do take the out during the day for pictures but not as much as I used to. When I was first into the hobby, a noob or sorts, I held my KDF ani everywhere and he yellowed a little fast (only a little) and it scared me to much to have him just hanging out during the day. =D

Mine still go places with me, just not as much. xD
My Kirill yellowed a bit, but I don't really care too much.
I had fun toting him around. xDD

But yeah, mine sit on a shelf most of the time, in shadows away from the window.
I also tend to carry one around the house from time to time.
Other than that, they don't really go anywhere. I don't sleep with mine either, since I was always afraid I'd break something in my sleep. >>
I plan on taking them out for pictures more often, once I move, but we'll see how that goes.

I take my MSD everywhere. I'm not too worried about him yellowing, so I don't mind taking him out and about with me. I take him shopping, and I take him around the house, but sometimes I take him just to have him with me. I also tend to take my dolls out with me when I have a big group of friends staying over who are interested in dolls. We usually walk around the mall with them, each holding one as we go. :] I take them out A LOT for photoshoots, and I have a bunch of planned ones that I need to do as well.

My dolls are out all the time. I'm never worried as I have heavy curtins and never open my blinds. I take them outside for photoshoot as it's hard to take pictures in my house for multiple reasons - one being the lack of light and two being the general clutter in any area where there is light.

I've taken kids out shopping and on vacation. I love to hug them (they're so cuddly). I have actually taken some of them to bed with me. On occasion three of my boys have shared my bed - although my one boy only was allowed on a pillow next to me, as I didn't want to mess up his hair. But my other two boys were fine and I cushioned the ends of the bed to make sure they wouldn't fall off and hurt themselves. Neither one had any problems while spending the night with me.

I used to freak out about yellowing, such as when I first noticed my Kirill yellowing after only a few months owning him (and looking like he got a bad tan on his arms), but it doesn't worry me any more. I don't want bad yellowing, of course, but general mellowing is still going to occur whether they're taken out into the sun or not.

I do not, however, take out some of my weirder dolls, like my hooved girls because I'm afraid of chipping their blushing, or my Resin Soul boy because he's very flopping and blue. I try to be at least smart about taking my kids out. I always make sure I know I can carry them (like if I know I'll be buying more stuff and could possibly drop the doll) or could get hurt. I'm very aware of my kids.

I constantly have my dolls out. I never have my blinds up so they're perfectly safe. I also love walking around with them in the house, especially Cern since he's pretty much immoble otherwise with his ankle injury.

when I'm home in my room they usually chill on my bed but they have their own shelf for when I'm at school.

Mine are always out. I have a huge curtain in my bedroom to keep the light out and so they are safe. I've taken them to work with me. Momo came along in my Purse when I went to Alberta last summer, Kiyoshi came to AnimeNorth with me last time I went (the big Anime con in Toronto). I take them out for photoshoots all the time and when I go fabric shopping for them one usually comes along to make sure the print is a decent scale. Grin

Also I go to a fellow doll owners house at least once a week for anime/movie night and at least one comes with me then.

I've never been too worried about yellowing. Kiyoshi Yellowed a bit with age I think, he just looks a bit darker. Momo and Yun came to me second hand and so they were both slightly yellowed already. I really don't notice it most of the time to be honest.

I think I've taken a doll to pretty much every Con I've been to, since I actually didn't start going to cons until I got into the doll hobby. I also take a doll with me to the Rennessaince faires nowadays, dressing the doll up in Renny clothes. My friend and I were afraid to take them to the faires at first, because of all the dust that kicks up, but since we know how to clean them now, it isn't as big a deal, and they never really get that dusty.

All of them are coming to Animaritme2011 (a local con in Moncton, NB) due to a doll panel a few of us are hosting.

If there was enough time to register for a panel still, you could always run one. Regular

Blank I'd have no clue what to talk about and I'm not sure if any bjd owners go to portcon other than me

We just talk about the basics, what they are, where you getthem, how much, the customisation factor, etc, etc. You'd be surpirsed how many doll owners come out of the woodwork or just people who want to know more.
